Centre island Trip 1

Here's the first video:

So today I got up pretty early but then took a 2 hour power nap, and then arrived later than I wanted to, to Centre Island. If you've already checked out the video, you can see for yourselves at how beautiful it is.

when you first get off that ferry you'll see more than one possible path to take. I took one route and that's the one I got on the video.

There's something about bridges on the island, whenever you cross one it takes you to somewhere...interesting.

Check out where the first bridge  led me to:

My friend and I knew something was up when we kept seeing all these costumed people coming from the other side of the bridge. Naturally, we wen to see what was happening.

It turned out to be a play. A really good one for kids. Unfortunately I couldn't record it.

Wait there's more!

Ignoring the fact that I suck at making videos, the quality of the beauty of the place is lost through the camera. Okay, maybe that was mostly my fault for my incompetence.
(I'm preparing to go to University, I got to use big words so I can look sophisticated. See what I did there?)

There were rides there, I don't know why I don't have any footage of it. My enemy , the log ride, was there. I remember seeing mostly kid rides. You can also rent those huge bikes where  you pedal with others. It's red and squarish.

You got to admit, this video was by far the creepiest of them all. Random voice saying, 'there's a beach back there' and then the ending... I actually liked the ending.
You're welcome!(Oh yes, I said it.)

Anyways here are some pics.

Matsuri part 2 (Japonto/Torpan)

Ohhhhhh here's more stuff!
There were only a few people when I first came early in the morning, but towards the end the place was packed. I feel like I already mentioned that before.
Deja Vu....

Anyways, onward good friends to the first video. In this video You'll see a play done by a group known as JAVA(Japanese Visitors Association). It was a play for those interested in visiting Japan.  I couldn't get all the footage for this play because I was going back and forth to make the video you'll see later on down the page.

Did I just put in another dance video? Oh girlfriends(even to you guys), yes I did.   Man was it scorching hot! I feel like I also already mentioned that before...

Here it is, the making of a geisha right before my eyes and my camera's lens. I still don't understand why, out of my 6 videos, that one was the most popular. It got 27 views!
Yes that's a lot in my case. I Kind of feel bad for being a horrible video maker...and now I'm over it. (Don't worry it'll change hopefully)
Here it is, my most popular video:

The process was so slow so I thought I'd be okay walking back and forth to record the play by JAVA and this, geisha make over.

It was hot.
Yea, I know, I mentioned that before.

Let me tell you something, how I met my partner in crime that fateful burning hot day. I was walking around and I passed this stand, which I was sure kept changing what they were selling so it kept on having a new look, and I saw him and the moment our eyes met we were inseperable. Not counting the 5 minutes right after I saw him. You probably, most likely, won't understand until I show you the video.

I just had to buy it. ^.^
Please leave me feedback on how I did because,

The eyes
               Are staring you down!

Japanese festival in Toronto...Japanese Matsuri

Dundas square was where Toronto's first ever matsuri was held, and it was really awesome! I risked taking a good heating from the sun!

First off I apologize for my video making and website designing incompetence. Heck, I might as well also apologize for my tardiness because it took me, like forever to post this.

So  without further ado I bring you the first video. The group, Raging Asian, is made up entirely of Asian women. Throughout the festival the organizers had been explaining Japanese culture. So in that video they were playing the taiko which officially opens the festival,no, the matsuri.

Snap! People kept getting in my way but I didn't want to move around and get in someone else's way, so...yea. Anyways did you notice their stance and movements? Wasn't it beautiful. I especially liked the part in the first one, where the drummers switched sides. They didn't just switch they gracefully switched sides! Cool! >u<

Next up I bring you the performance that I absolutely loved. For those of you who have attended the matsuri, don't get your knickers in a twist because I'm not showing the correct order of events that day.
I didn't just write that because I wanted to say 'knickers in a twist.'
Ok.... that was partly the reason ... 99% the reason.

The next video is from a group known as Sakura mai and they....just watch the video if you haven't. It was funny when a lot of people started yelling Niisan!(older brother) I started to think that not all of the people who called out were his little siblings. Probably just one, or none.

Okay, I know this next video is really long but it was just as good, maybe better as far as my poor videos go. I  place this in second place out of all those events. You get to see interesting yukatta's. If you haven't watched it, then you should. If you don't want to then, just as fine. Who's with me when I say that the eccentric look rocked?

.

That's it for today. You can look forward for more. For now I leave you with some pictures. Please leave a comment and tell me how I did.
